Wyandotte, Michigan -- BASF has appointed Gerry Podesta as group vice president, Polyurethanes, in North America. Podesta, based in Wyandotte, Michigan, was most recently as group vice president, Coatings and Plastic Chemicals, in North America. He replaces Bill Bernstein, who retires from BASF on 17 July.
Podesta joined BASF in 2003 after 20 years with General Electric, where he was vice president and general manager, GE Plastics Americas.
