Bolszewo, Poland -- Polish plastics manufacturer Izo-Balex will set up a new polyurethane insulation panel plant in Tomaszow Mazowiecki, Poland. The company plans to invest as much as Zloty 38million ($12 million) at the facility and create about 41 new jobs.
The planned factory is to be located in the Lodzka Special Economic Zone (LSEE). Izo-Balex said the new facility will have a total floorspace of about 8000 sq.m. The company's second Polish plant is to be completed in the second half of 2013.
Izo-Balex said the new factory will produce PU insulation panels with rigid and flexible surfaces in an innovative technology that has not yet been introduced to the Polish market.
The company plans to sell the new plant's output both domestically and in foreign markets. The latter are to include Germany, Scandinavian countries, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, according to the Polish business.
Izo-Balex is a subsidiary of Balex Metal, one of Poland's biggest manufacturers of construction materials. Set up in 1992, Balex Metal is headquartered in Bolszewo, Poland. In addition to its facility in Bolszewo, the company operates a further four plants in the Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and the Czech Republic. The five factories have a total workforce of over 400, according to data from the company.
In addition to PU insulation panels, Balex Metal's plastic product range includes expandable polystyrene, PVDF and PVC.
