A family-run Polish manufacturer of plastics moulds is planning to establish a new production plant in Kraków.
FUPH Lokas of Wadowice, Poland won official consent in March for its plan to locate the facility in the Zator sub-zone of the Kraków Technology Park. The mould maker intends to invest almost €331,000 to construct the new mould shop that will initially create two jobs.
FUPH Lokas specialises in making moulds for products ranging from polyurethane shoe soles to foam components for seating and acrylic baths.
The firm, founded by Stanislaw Kasprzyk in 1993, began by selling resins and sealing materials and two years later, started to manufacture moulds with one for polyurethane shoe soles.
This provided the small business with a valuable breakthrough as its shoe sole moulds have since attracted growing interest from customers, not only in Poland but the former Soviet states and even in Italy.
FUPH Lokas also developed its business producing large moulds for manufacturers of acrylic baths and paddling pools. Today, the firm is jointly run by the founder and his sons Jacek and Maciej Kasprzyk.
