Wroclaw, Poland – Polish PU foam maker Selena has opened a new production facility in Węgrow, central Poland. The factory will make tile adhesives, thermal insulation adhesives, waterproofing solutions, screeds and other products. The value of the investment was not disclosed.
It will produce for the Polish market, but also for export sales to Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The new facility is operated by the company’s subsidiary Tytan EOS, it said.
'We will use the Węgrow-based factory for worldwide shipment of products made by Tytan EOS,' said Roman Owczarek, the subsidiary’s chief executive.
The company plans to launch a second production line at the plant later this year, and create a further 30 new jobs.
The production facility’s automated production line is adapted to the use of local raw materials, the company said. It also has a quality control lab, and an R&D department will be opened there this year.
Meanwhile, Selena is also pursuing a project to open a new production facility in Kazakhstan. Construction will begin this year, and it is expected to be complete by 2024. Selena also operates factories in Spain, Romania, Brazil, Turkey, South Korea and China.
