Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Water-parks need fats curing technology with rapid cures, improved colour and gloss retention, and proven durability so allow them to repair, re-finish and re-open waterslides quickly.
Bayer MaterialScience llc says its two-component (2K) polyaspartic coating technology can be used to refurbish waterslides for fast return to service -- without sacrificing weatherability or chemical resistancen.
Theses novel polyaspartic gelcoats can replace traditional, site-applied polyester gelcoats, with excellent colour and gloss retention, chemical and abrasion resistance, no odour, improved flexibility for crack and chip resistance, reduced volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and improved weatherability.
Steven Reinstadtler, construction marketing manager, Coatings and Sustainability Initiatives, Bayer MaterialScience, discussed these benefits and shared case studies when he presented "Site-Applied Gelcoat Refurbishment Using Polyaspartic Technology" 15 Nov, during the Polyurea Development Association (PDA) Europe's fifth annual conference in The Hague, The Netherlands.
