Charleroi, Pennsylvania -- Life-Time Poly-Millwork and its parent RAS Industries have bought Focal Point Architectural Products Inc. of Tarboro, North Carolina, from its parent, Noel Group llc.
The two privately-held US companies agreed not to disclose financial details.
The management of RAS Industries indicated that Focal Point will continue its current business practices and will operate as an independent company within the RAS Industries' family.
Life-Time Poly-Millwork of Charleroi and Focal Point both make polyurethane architectural products for interior decor. The products replace more intricate wood or plaster constructions with moulded PU parts, and in future customers will benefit from the availability of both manufacturers' ranges.
"The combination of Focal Point's presence in the retail channels and the strength of its interior moulding products, coupled with Life-Time's position in the exterior millwork market, creates a complete architectural solution for our customers," said Afshan Khan, ceo of RAS Industries, in the group's 25 Jan statement.
Focal Point has nearly 40 years history "as a pioneer and leader in the interior polyurethane building products industry," said Khan, saying it has led the way "with innovative, stylish products, outstanding people and satisfied customers."
Focal Point's niche lies in providing innovative, easy-to-install products, "creating detailed millwork that offers cost-effective, time-saving alternatives to complicated wood build-ups or plaster," said Focal Point president, Ken Robinson.
