Ghent, Belgium -- Rogers Corp. has a new range of Poron Shock Seal high-performance foams to protect against shocks up to four times better than the best competing materials. The technology, a multifunctional foam for industrial applications, has been developed so the thinnest LCD displays, medical equipment, and shock-sensitive components can withstand the toughest conditions, Rogers says.
Poron Shock Seal foams are designed for optimal results in areas where impact resistance, dust resistance and long-term behaviour are required.
"It is our goal with our Poron offerings, designers to assist in the development of thinner, lighter and more reliable applications," said Sandra Hopkins, Poron Urethanes Product Manager, in a company announcement.
"With the introduction of Poron Shock Seal foams are our partners, not only the possibility automatically to create a larger impact protection for the equipment, but also to develop a modern and revolutionary case," she added.
The materials are available in different hardnesses, densities and strengths to enable developers to choose the right combination for their application. Poron Shock Seal also provides unique compressibility behaviour, ensuring an even greater impact protection in a wide compression property without force increase.
