By Liz White, UT staff Burnaby, British Columbia-American Insulock Inc. has appointed Robin Chandler president, and made Robert Jamieson Jr its secretary and chief financial officer. Enna Keller has resigned as president but remains as ceo, and Kenneth Russell has resigned as secretary. Both Keller and Russell will continue as directors The picture shows Ken Russell (second left), Robert Jamieson Sr (third left) and Ena Keller (fourth left). Robert Jamieson Jr is the son of Robert Jamieson, Insulock's vice-president of engineering and a director. Robert Jamieson Jr has been providing accounting services to the Insulock at the firm's Mesa, Arizona, division since it was opened in June 2003. American Insulock makes insulating polyurethane concrete forms-Insulock Blocks-and the equipment used to manufacture them. Using polyurethane rather than polystyrene-the material " virtually every other manufacturer of insulating concrete forms" uses, produces much stronger blocks, the firm claims. These insulating blocks can be used "to construct soundwalls and buildings that are highly effective at absorbing sound and that have an R-30 or R-38 heat insulating value," American Insulock adds."
