Shanghai, China – Chinese contour cutting machine maker Nantong Healthcare Machinery (NHM) said its expansion a few years ago into whole factory design is going well.
Such design also includes production and packaging, the firm explained to UTECH-polyurethane.com at PU China 2018.
The company has secured a number of big clients, such as Malaysia’s CHL Foam Industries. Rising labour costs and growing awareness of the need for standardised processes are driving demand for automated package solutions, said Lin Changbin. Lin is the company's technical manager.
Today, a third of the company’s revenue comes from overseas markets.
NHM has also been building facilities for its parent, mattress and pillow maker Healthcare Co., which is also based in Nantong, Jiangsu.
Healthcare Co. has earmarked CNY 150m ($22m) for its new plant, with 24kT/year capacity. Phase one of the project, with 18kT/year capacity, is slated to come on stream by the end of this year. That plant, which makes mattresses under the Mlily brand, will use machinery from Laader Berg.
Phase two construction will start in 2019, and should be complete in 2021, said Lin.
NHM is still in machinery sales, and expects to make between 200 and 250 machines this year, said Lin.
