Shanghai, China--The sixth PU China event got off to a resounding start Tues 5 Sept at the Shanghai Mart exhibition centre in Shanghai, as many hundreds of visitors poured through the doors shortly after the official opening of the three-day event.
Many of the exhibition stands in the main hall were swamped with enthusiastic customers, leading one US-based first-time exhibitor to declare that next time his company would need double the stand space.
The event, co-organised by local group China MinMetals Corp. with Industrial Promotions International BV of Goor, the Netherlands, and Crain Communications Ltd of London, includes lectures about the latest global developments through a series of company-sponsored product seminars in the Chinese language.
On the first day these well-attended sessions from major suppliers to the polyurethanes sector, included presentations from Chinese representatives of Bayer MaterialScience, BASF AG, Air Products, Dow Chemical Co. and more.
During the show, more than 30 hour-long presentations from about 20 suppliers will cover all the main uses of polyurethanes.
Over the three-day event, visitors will be able to meet representatives of all the major international players in the business, as well as many of the significant domestic companies involved.
Just before the show started, there were 76 international exhibitors and 70 Chinese firms taking space to show off their products and technology to the major and rapidly expanding polyurethanes business in the Asia Pacific region.
