Mahwah, New Jersey -- MH&W International, a manufacturer of thermal interface materials (TIMs) and magnetic components, has highlighted the benefits of using its ceramic-filled polyurethane film, Keratherm, with a light-tack adhesive.
An 8 Aug company statement said that two of its silicone-free Keratherm interface materials, U 90 and the lower cost U 80, are both available with a light-tack adhesive, which keeps the TIMs in place during assembly, or pre-attached to heat sinks, and won't cause damage when removed from mounting surfaces, "a common problem with stronger adhesives are used," MH&W said.
Typical applications for the Keratherm materials include medical devices, laser equipment, LED lighting, solar energy, disk drives and automatic electronics, the statement said. (RD)
