Ludwigshafen, Germany – BASF said its Mastertop 1327 flooring system has won M1 certification under the Finnish Emission Classification of Building Materials system. The certificate recognises products with low levels of VOCs.
BASF said polyurethane chemistry is at the heart of the product. It is 'the only liquid flooring system that demonstrably reduces impact noise by 20dB', the company claimed.
It added that the material is seamless, wear resistant and easy to clean. It is suitable for installation in public buildings such as schools, shopping centres, hospitals and offices.
