San Jose, California - The global market for foamed plastics, i.e. polyurethane is projected to reach 10.5 million tonnes by 2017, according to a new report by Global Industry Analysts.
The market research firm says in "Foamed Plastics (Polyurethane): A Global Strategic Business Report" that post recession, recovery and stronger demand from critical end-use industries is expected to "enthuse the market for insulation materials, in turn fuelling growth for foamed plastics."
The report provides a strategic review of the industry, key market trends, recent product launches, strategic corporate initiatives, and profiles of key market participants, GIA said in a 30 April news release. It also includes annual sales estimates and projections for the years 2009-2017 in volume terms for a range of geographic markets.
