London — A number of companies connected with the global polyurethane industry feature prominently in the ICIS Top 100 chemical companies 2016 listing.
The world's largest chemical company, according to the listing, is BASF with annual sales of $76.6 bn. BASF is followed by Dow Chemical in third place with sales of $48.8 bn.
Evonik, ranked 20, had sales of $14.7 bn; Covestro, ranked 24, had sales of $13.1bn; Huntsman, ranked 35, had sales of $10.3 bn. Blowing agent company, Honeywell had sales of $3.5bn in 2015 and is ranked 93. Momentive ranked 114, with sales of $2.3bn in 2015 and Chemtura, with sales of $1.7bn ranked at 121 also feature in the listing.
