New York -- The work of a Polish sculptor who used polyurethane to create experimental art will be on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, from 7 Oct 2012 - 28 Jan 2013.
Alina Szapocznikow: Sculpture Undone, 1955-1972, will feature over 100 works by the artist including sculpture, drawings, photography, and archival and documentary material, according to a report in Art Daily.
From 1962, Szapocznikow used PU to explore notions of the human body, as well as to develop shapes and transform everyday objects. In later years, before her death in 1973, the artist produced works that included photographs embedded in waxy polyester resin.
