Guangzhou, Guangdong – China’s polyurethane curative maker Xiangyuan showcased its newly developed high-temperature resistant product at the PUCHINA 2017 event.
Launched earlier this year, the new curative enables TPU products, used in facilities such as steel refineries, to endure up to 180℃, Xiangyuan’s chairman Zhou Jian told UTECH-polyurethane.com in an exclusive interview.
With two plants in Jiangsu province’s Suzhou and Nantong and a total capacity of 36kT/year, Xiangyuan upped its revenue by nearly 20% last year to CNY 250m. Zhou expects China’s curatives sector to grow at a 10% to 15% rate over the next few years.
The company has a portfolio of 21 products, specializing in TPU curatives. 'TPU [curatives] segment has a 30% gross margin,' said Zhou. 'There are certain technological entry barriers.'
