Padua, Italy – The Italian machinery brand Pu.Ma has been bought by Kronn, and its panel lines are now commercially available.

Speaking exclusively to Utech-polyurethane.com, Kronn CEO Emanuele Buson explained that his company bought the business from the bankruptcy court in Padua in December 2020. He did not disclose the price, but said there had been considerable interest.

'Our order backlog is now 12 months,' he said. Kronn took possession of the Pu.Ma business in April, but waited to ensure that it has the rights to the Pu.Ma industries brand before announcing the deal.

He plans to run the brand with his own as Kronn Industrie Pu.Ma. 'We have contacted existing customers and they are very happy to hear that we are back,' he said. 'We can offer them original spare parts and upgrades. We want to make a fusion between Kronn and Pu.Ma, using Pu.Ma technology and tradition and reach the top position in the market.'

The company is going to PU China this year. ‘We will be promoting the Pu.Ma brand there,’ he said. ‘We opened an office there in September 2020 and we received four orders in three months.’
