Myszkow, Poland -- Polish PU foam manufacturer Pureko has obtained permission to build a second production facility in Myszkow, Silesia about 40km (25 miles) from Katowice.
The factory will be located in the special economic zone centred around Katowice. Pureko has one factory in the zone and it expects to create about 60 new jobs with this investment, according to a company statement. No value was given for the project.
Pureko makes a wide range of PU foams with densities from 17 kg/m3 to 50 kg/m3 (1 lb/ft to 3.1lb/ft) , and supplies companies in the country’s furniture industry, according to a company statement. The Polish company says it supplies PU foam in standard blocks with a length of 1200 mm and 2400 mm. This said, on special requests, the blocks' length can be extended up to 3000 mm. The plant has 6kT/year capacity.
Establishing its new facility in the special economic zone will give Pureko preferential tax treatment for its investment, until at least 2026.
