Utah, US – Two new mattress ranges have been introduced by Purple Innovation. The Premium and Luxe collections include nine new mattresses using the company’s GelFlex Grid technology.
The company trailed the launch new mattresses in advance, with a lot of its advertising spend shifted into the second quarter to support the launch.
Mattresses in the Premium collection dissipate heat between two and four times more effectively than competing mattresses, said Jeff Hutchings, the company’s chief innovation officer. “We also executed a third-party clinical study where we observed that respondents fell asleep 20% faster when sleeping on the GelFlex Grid,” he said.
The grid moulds to the body, relieving pressure from the hips and shoulders, the company said. Its column structure holds up to broad areas of weight, supporting the back and legs for better body alignment. The clinical study suggested that the grid reduces aches and pains by 40%, and reduces night awakenings by 21%.
The Luxe collection includes new Rejuvenate, RejuvenatePlus and RejuvenatePremier mattresses, and combine the proprietary Purple system with a coil core, plus a quilted cover and additional layers of materials. The Premium collection, meanwhile, includes Restore, RestorePlus and RestorePremier models, each of which comes with either a soft or firm comfort profile.
Premium mattresses are available in five sizes, with a queen priced at $2295. Four sizes are available for the Luxe products, with a queen mattress costing $5495. They are available online, in Purple showrooms, and at various US furniture and mattress stores.
“We are on a mission to deliver deep, restorative sleep to everyone,” said Purple CEO Rob DeMartini. “With the addition of our Premium and Luxe collections, we now offer more beds to match almost every comfort profile and every type of sleeper.”
