Grafenberg, Germany -- Rampf Group Inc. has opened a new facility in Atlanta, Georgia, for the foaming, coating, bonding, and casting of large automotive parts.
The expansion is part of a $1.3 million investment by Rampf in its US sites in Georgia, Alabama and Michigan. Employee numbers are expected to increase by 20 percent by the end of the 2012/2013 fiscal year, Rampf said.
The Atlanta facility, which opened in June, has extended the company's production capacities to include customised contract manufacturing and an expansion of its sales and service unit, Rampf said in a 2 Aug news release.
Rampf will make two-component plastic systems based on polyurethane, epoxy, and silicone, as well as mixing and dispensing systems for reliable processing of polymers, and modelling and mould engineering materials.
"High-quality products and future-focused investments through a financially strong holding company have resulted in eight-figure sales in the last fiscal year," commented Jürgen Penker, managing director of Rampf Group.
He added, "We currently have two new dispensing systems, which we use for various contract production jobs for customers. We are also using a specially designed production line to handle a large project in the field of renewable energies."
