Zimmern, Germany - RAMPF Group is investing Euro 3 million in a new building for its Dosiertechnik company, which makes low-pressure mixing and dispensing systems for processing one-, two-, and multi-component reaction resins.
The second plant at RAMPF's site in Zimmern, Germany, will give RAMPF Dosiertechnik a further 4200 sq.m of space. Construction is scheduled to start by mid-September at the latest, RAMPF said in a 7 Sept announcement.
"As RAMPF Dosiertechnik has been bursting at the seams for some time now and its order books look healthy right through to the next financial year, we decided the time was right to build plant II," explained Matthias Rampf, ceo of the RAMPF Group.
Building is scheduled for completion at the end of March 2012. The company said the expansion will "enable future growth, secure existing jobs and create new ones."
The new facility will provide space for a new logistics and service centre, additional application engineering activities and a specialised contract manufacturing facility, the company said.
RAMPF noted that as with the construction of the innovation centre at the Grafenberg site, the headquarters of RAMPF Giessharze and RAMPF Tooling, RAMPF is once again opting to use renewable sources of energy, such as geothermal energy. The roof of the new building is to be equipped with a 108 kW photovoltaic system.
RAMPF Group makes dispensing systems, polyurethane resins and tooling equipment for the global marketplace through five companies - Dosiertechnik, Giessharze, Tooling, Mineralgusstechnik and Ecosystems.
