Grafenberg, Germany - RAMPF Giessharze is to present its first bio-electro casting system at the Productronica trade fair.
Raku-Pur 21-2499 casting material has been developed using renewable raw materials. And the material has a curing time of three minutes due to an additional technology provided by sister company RAMPF Dosiertechnik.
The two-component bio-electro casting system made from polyurethane highlights RAMPF Giessharze's awareness of ecological issues, the German company said in a 4 Oct announcement.
RAMPF Giessharze said Raku-Pur offers excellent thermal conductivity, good resistance to temperatures and temperature fluctuation, and low shrinkage and stress during curing.
At Productronica, RAMPF Dosiertechnik will be giving a live demonstration of accelerated curing of the casting material using 'Curing on Demand', a contactless method of introducing energy into the material, using infrared radiation.
Productronica trade fair for innovative electronics production will be held 15-18 Nov 2011 in Munich, Germany.
