Kaiserslautern, Germany — Recaro said it's seats and seat shells featured in a number of cars which took part in the Nurburgring 24-hour race this year.

Aside from a number of cars in the Porche 991 class, its seats will have been used in an Audi TTRS2 car number 89 driven by Daniela Schmid, Ulrich Andreie, Christian Schmitz, and Stefan Wieninger in the SP 3T class. Seats were also fitted in the new TCR touring car class in an Audi RS3, number 17 driven by Artur Gorojan, Pierre Humbert and Matthias Wasel. These cars were entered by LMS engineering, which favours the Recaro P1300 GT racing shells.
Recaro said these are partially upholstered are are the the first racing shell to meet the FIA 8862-2009 advanced racing seat standard. They are attractive to drivers, said Recaro, because the offer easy and fast length adjustment and feature removable pads which offer drivers a large number of individual adjustment options.
