Schwaebisch Hall, Germany – Recaro Aircraft Seating is planning to start building a new headquarters here in 2019.
The company said it needs room to grow. In 2017 it had sales of EUR 487m and growth for 2018 is 'in the double-digit range,' the firm said. The company now employs 2700 people worldwide and 1300 of these in Schwaebisch Hall.
The investment includes new factory halls, a development and testing centre. There will also be conference facilities which will be able to house up to 600 people.
In addition, the site will feature a 3200m2 testing hall and a fire-testing laboratory. Currently, product development and a large part of production take place in the town, which is located 64 km (40 miles) northeast of Stuttgart.
