Trelleborg, Sweden – After a strong fourth quarter, Trelleborg has reported full-year sales of SEK34.2bn ($3.11bn), down very slightly from the SEK34.3bn reported in 2023. Structural changes had a positive impact on sales of 1%, balanced by a 1% decrease resulting from currency effects.
EBITA, excluding items affecting comparability, was up by 2% to SEK6.14bn from 2023’s SEK6.00bn. This was the company’s highest ever annual earnings figure.
In the fourth quarter, net sales were up by 4% to SEK8.78bn, from the 2023 quarter’s $8.42bn. On an organic basis, excluding structural changes, sales were up by 1%.
EBITA, excluding items affecting comparability, rose by 11% to SEK1.59bn. If these items, which were largely restructuring costs, are included, EBITA was up 30%, from SEK1.16bn to SEK1.51bn.
Looking at its individual market segments, sales declined marginally overall in the Sealing Solutions business, with sales to automotive diversified industrial customers weaker in Europe and North America, but developing well in Asia. There was significant sales growth to the aerospace industry globally.
