Brussels – Recticel has been awarded an A score for climate change by CDP, the global non-profit that runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system.
Recticel said that its A score for climate change follows three years of consistent, transparent reporting, and means it has progressed through two levels in a single year. It comes at a time that CDP has expanded its questionnaire to ensure it aligns with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Direction that was implemented at the start of 2023.
CDP hosts the world’s largest and most comprehensive dataset on corporate climate action, and companies representing two-thirds of global market capitalisation disclose through it. In 2024, the organisation scored nearly 25,000 companies on their transparency and action as they work to integrate Earth-positive decisions into their business models.
“Recticel is committed to driving real climate action,” said Jan Vergote, Recticel’s CEO. “In 2024, the Science Based Target Initiative approved our voluntary net-zero commitments, and we joined the BEL ESG Index [identifying the listed Belgian companies with the best environmental, social and governance performance]. Now, a top rating from CDP marks another major milestone, reinforcing our dedication to transparency, accountability, and relentless pursuit of a sustainable future for all our stakeholders.”
