Brussels - Recticel Group is to build a factory for the production of thermal insulation panels for the building industry at an undisclosed location in "central France," the firm said in a 23 Nov announcement.
With the new facility, which will ultimately employ some 50 people, the Group aims to double its sales of insulation material in France. It is expected that the new factory will become operational by early 2013.
Recticel's Insulation business line produces panels in high performance rigid polyurethane foam for the thermal insulation of walls, floors and roofs in residential, commercial, industrial, public, logistics and agricultural buildings. The high-quality panels are used for new constructions as well as for renovation projects; and are marketed under strong brand names such as Eurowall, Powerroof, Powerdeck and Powerwall.
The Group preesently operates from two production sites; one in Wevelgem, Belgium, the other in Stoke-on-Trent, UK. In 2009, the firm's building insulation business realised a total turnover of Euro 150.5 million ($204 million), Recticel said.
