Belgium — Recticel has announced EUR 20 m investment in Stoke-on-Trent, UK to increase capacity for PIR insulation board there by "at least 50%."
The new capacity will be used to make thermal insulation panels for the construction sector, the company said. It added that "further growth is to be expected in the coming years because the structural demand for high performing polyurethane building insulation products will continue to increase."
No details of the chosen machinery supplier were available because, a spokesman said "the plan is just starting."
Recticel expects the start of production to be in the third quarter of 2018.
Olivier Chappelle, CEO said "this investment is consistent with the growth strategy of our insulation business. It brings substantial additional production capacity to enable Recticel to continue to service customers in the UK and grow with them."
