Recticel Foam for Care in Kesteren is operated by a workforce of about 300 employees, and Recticel Technical Foams in Buren has 50 some employees. Both plants are located in the country’s Gelderland province.
Production activities at the two facilities were halted on 9 February at 22:00 local time, according to the information obtained by local daily De Gelderlander.
Most recently, Recticel was forced to declare force majeure at its plant in Most, Czech Republic, following a 22 January fire at one of the factory’s production halls. As a result, production of PU foam surfaces to automotive supplies was halted at the Czech facility.
