Arlington, Virginia -- The Polyurethanes 2009 Technical Conference, organised by the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) will take place 5-7 October 2009 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland (in the Washington D.C. area).
The organisers say that the conference will allow polyurethane industry leaders and professionals to hear about the latest research, technical developments and business issues affecting their businesses.
Participants should register by 10 July 2009 to receive the lowest registration fee. Fees will increase after 10 July, 9 Sept and 2 Oct, CPI says.
Rooms at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center must be booked by 9 Sept to receive the ACC/CPI discounted hotel room rates.
Also on offer is a Table Top Exhibition, which will be located in Potomac Ballroom A of the Gaylord National along with the conference Poster Session, Refreshment Break tables, CPI booth and Innovation Award voting terminal.
The advance programme for the meeting is also available for download from the CPI website.
The CPI also wants applications for its 2009 Polyurethane Innovation Awards which "recognise the efforts and foresight of companies and individuals whose vision have brought new products to the marketplace." Applications are being accepted until 5:00 p.m. EST on July 10, 2009, with awards in three categories: Polyurethane Chemicals; Processing Equipment and Finished Products.
