Research Triangle Park, North Carolina -- Reichhold Inc. is increasing its prices by $0.07 per pound for 100-percent solids alkyds, $0.05 per pound for solvent-based alkyds and modified alkyds, and $0.04 per pound for uralkyds and oil-modified urethanes.
These price increases are effective for orders shipped on or after 15 Nov 2010 and apply to alkyd coating resins sold within or exported from North America.
Reichhold said these increases are driven by the continuing escalation of costs of the key raw materials used to produce the alkyd resins.
