The compound, Remarep Ultra 10, is a solvent-free polyurethane. It is a red colour to allow previous repairs to the belt to be tracked, and to help monitor the overall health of the belt.
The repair compound cures after 15 minutes at 24°C, the company said, and the repair will have an average hardness of 65 Shore A. The conveyor belt can be loaded again after 60 minutes. The compound resists UV rays, oil and diesel fuel.
The product can also be used to fill joints in rubber linings, and for cosmetic repairs to PU, PVC and elastomer components.
