Madrid -- Repsol has reengineered a number of its Alcupol P polyether polyols to reduce VOC in finished foam by around 40%, the company said.
The change relates to Alcupol P3041, P3621, P3921, P4181 and P4311, said Repsol, which added that it has "taken another step in compliance with the most demanding certification applied to the comfort sector in terms of product emissions."
Repsol said that it has altered the production process, but that these changes do not affect final polyol performance or formulations.
The newly engineered polyols are being made in Tarragona and are available worldwide, said Repsol.
