By Liz White, UT staffEdmonton, Alberta-Resin Systems Inc. has bought a half interest in a firm in the EU-EUCo-which will pursue market opportunities in the EU and central/eastern Europe for RSI's Version polyurethane resin and products. An exception will be RSI's modular composite utility poles which RSI will continue to sell directly in all regions. RSI said it will advance about $1.875 million to EUCo this year to set up a production facility in the EU.The Canadian company also announced 4 Aug that EUCo has a $45-million order to make rollers for industrial conveyor systems, using RSI's Version resin to a domestic EU mining conglomerate. EUCo will start delivery of these conveyor rollers in November 2005 and complete the contract by November 2008, said RSI. Initial amounts will be made at RSI's Edmonton facility, until EUCo's production facility in the EU is operating. RSI points out that this order replaces the multi-year, multi-million dollar one covering only supply of resin, which the group announced 26 April. "
