San Diego, California -- Rhino Linings Corp., which supplies protective polyurethane, polyurea, polyaspartic and epoxy coatings, has bought Concrete Solutions Inc., a San-Diego, California-based maker of systems for restoring and protecting concrete surfaces.
As well as extensive product and system offerings -- stamped concrete overlays, decorative resurfacing, stains, dyes, stencils -- Concrete Solutions specialises in monthly training programmes and focussed workshops, said Rhino Linings, also based in San Diego.
"This acquisition strengthens our commitment to be one of the leading concrete-coatings solution providers by expanding our current product line and offering the best products available," said Pierre Gagnon, president and ceo of Rhino Linings, in a 6 May announcement. "With the expanded use of concrete in both the residential and commercials markets, we want to take a leadership position in the concrete-restoration business."
Concrete deteriorates with age, resulting in stained, cracked, chipped and porous surfaces. Rhino said Concrete Solutions has been a leader in the concrete-resurfacing industry since 1986, developing products to restore and resurface concrete to its original condition, whilst also providing a decorative solution.
Its durable and user friendly products are used on driveways, patios, indoor floors, steps and pool decks and also "have extraordinary results in stadiums, amusement parks, hotels and small businesses."
Concrete Solutions will relocate its operations to the Rhino facilities in San Diego, California and Bart Sadleir, its current general manager of operations and training, will oversee the Concrete Solutions division.
