San Diego, California - Rhino Industrial, part of Rhino Linings Corp., introduced a new hybrid, aliphatic polyurea coating with rapid cure at the World of Concrete Show, 22-25 Jan, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Such a rapid cure allows floors to be returned to service in a single day, Rhino claims. Another advantage is that the FastFloor coating can be applied with a hand-roller, brush or squeegee, "which is a first for Rhino Linings," the company added.
Flooring and construction industry contractors, engineers and applicators can now offer a one-day installation, said Rhino Linings.
A next day return-to-service saves them downtime of valuable work areas, the company added.
FastFloor is available in two formulations: a high-build type for industrial floors such as warehouses, airplane hangars and laboratories; and a decorative option, with paint chips, coloured quart or other flakes for "a beautiful yet durable floor," said the company.
"FastFloor's durable, easy-to-use formulation underscores our continued commitment to developing tough, long-lasting, environmentally friendly solutions for the concrete and construction industries," said Pierre Gagnon, ceo and president of Rhino Linings, in a company statement.
"This new product is only the first in a line of easy to apply, rapid curing solutions to be introduced to our dealers and applicators," he added.
* Separately, Rhino Industrial announced 22 Jan that its Rhino Extreme 90 and Hi-Chem 65D-PW products have been certified by the state of Florida Department of Environmental Protection, following tests using NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) and SSPC (The Society for Protective Coatings) requirements for the Design, Installation, and Maintenance of Coating Systems for Concrete Used in Secondary Containment.
"This certification is yet another illustration of why contractors and specifiers are choosing Rhino Industrial products as their concrete protective coatings solution for Secondary Containment," commented Bharat Naik, vice president of Industrial Business and Product Development for Rhino Lining, in a company statement.
