San Diego, California -- Rhino Linings Corp., a specialist in residential protective polyurethane coatings, has launched two new spray PU foam insulation products -- Rhino SPF 0.50, an open cell PU foam insulation system, and Rhino SPF 2.0, a closed-cell SPF insulation system -- a recent company statement said.
With a density of 0.50 pcf (8.0 kg/m) and 2.0 pcf (2.4 kg/m) respectively, Rhino SPF 0.50 and 2.0 are primarily used in commercial and residential construction applications where thermal insulation, moisture and air infiltration and/or added structural properties are required, the company said.
The products can be installed in "most standard construction configurations using common materials such as wood and wood products, metal and concrete," Rhino said, adding that both systems perform successfully when sprayed onto wood substrates down to 40 degF (-4 degC).
The products are 100-percent solids [zero-VOC (volatile organic compound)] and carry an ASTM E-84 approved fire rating, the statement added. (RD)
