Singapore -Polyurethane equipment maker RIM Polymers Ltd has bought a US pump maker to broaden its supply chain. CEH Group, owner of RIM Polymers, has recently acquired International Pump Manufacturing (IPM), based in Seattle, Washington. IPM produces "a comprehensive range of highly reliable transfer pumps for most chemical fluids such as water-borne, solvent-borne, urethanes, epoxies and varnishes," said a 19 Oct announcement from RIM Polymers.
These pumps will also be on display 24-31 Oct at RIM Polymers' stand at the K2007 exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany, in Hall 13 Booth B84.
Rim Polymers has more than 25 years experience in making PU processing machinery, and has developed and manufactures its own 'GMA' brand since 2000.
Sales have grown rapidly in the Asia Pacific region, the company said, and GMA's machines have also found their way into the Russian and Middle East markets. "With globalisation in mind, Rim Polymers is geared for global expansion into new territories," the company says, adding that to achieve this it has appointments scheduled with potential distributors and agents at K2007.
During the show Rim Polymers' high-precision metering machine configured for making dual hardness car seats will be on show. User can also opt for a configuration of one isocyanate stream and three polyol components plus two catalysts "to meet the latest technology in multi-hardness applications," in automotive seating, the company says.
