Singapore-Rim Polymers Industries Pte Ltd has new machinery developments for automotive industry, including a high pressure machine-GMA H6 for small outputs.
The Singapore-based company says it has supplied such a machine to a customer in China. This customer produces thinner layer, light-weight arm rests, which are exported to an Australian automotive company, said Rim Polymers, in a press announcement.
Rim Polymers said the customer "is satisfied with consistent and accurate output that this machine dispensed (90g/s output rate). The Chinese part maker is now planning to expand its production line by ordering "a few more machines in the near future," the machinery supplier said.
The GMA H6 model is also suitable for other parts needing small output, such as gear knobs, the firm added.
Another development is a high-pressure cylinder machine for making filled car carpet. Rim Polymers has developed a special "H60-Rim" unit, capable of handling PU at up to 30 percent of filler content, for fillers such as calcium carbonate, aluminium oxide, barium sulphate or mica. These fillers are often used in applications for lowering noise, vibration and harshness (NVH), the firm said. Such machines have been sold to two leading Korean OEMs who supply NVH automotive parts to Hyundai, Kia and Daewoo.
Other automotive parts-for glass encapsulation, car seats, steering wheesl, headrest, door panel and bumper-have already been produced by our GMA machines.
Rim Polymers, a subsidiary of Singapore-based diversified multinational CEH Group, added that its GMA machines have been sold to an OEM parts supplier for General Motors in China.
