Minneapolis, Minnesota-Graco Inc. announced in November that it has appointed RIM Polymers Ltd in Singapore to distribute US-based Graco's range of Gusmer/Decker BetaCell polyurethane equipment to automotive supply companies in the Asia Pacific region.
Graco makes a range Gusmer/Decker reaction injection moulding (RIM) machines for polyurethane processing that include BetaCell equipment for in-line automotive NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) applications.
RIM Polymers, a Singapore-based maker of polyurethane foam machines, has "an established network of sales and technical support personnel, with expertise in servicing automotive manufacturers throughout the Asia Pacific region," said Graco.
"RIM Polymers has a long and successful history in the Asian polyurethane equipment market," said Jeff Johnson, Graco's director of sales and marketing for RIM, in the Graco announcement.
Johnson pointed out that RIM Polymers currently uses and distributes Graco's mixing heads throughout Asia and commented that, "This alliance is a natural extension of our current business."
For RIM Polymers, Han Tjing Oei, group executive vice president, said that the Gusmer/Decker NVH equipment "is recognised as the premier line of polyurethane form processing equipment among automotive in-line manufacturing plants," and that His firm is, "proud to expand our Gusmer/Decker offering."
