Germantown, Wisconsin — Two brands within the Ellsworth Corporation’s portfolio have been combined. Swindon, UK-based Robnor Resins has merged with the US resin manufacturer ResinLab to form a new unit, which will operate under the Robnor ResinLab name.
The company believes that the combination of the two brands into one entity will enhance its strength in the global resins market. There is a good deal of similarity between the two brands’ product lines, and they both have expertise in custom resin formulation and toll blending. There is, however, a slight difference in focus between the two operations, so the combination should prove beneficial, Ellesworth said.
Robnor is strong in the manufacture of polyurethanes, and has created product ranges specifically for electrical and electronic encapsulation, cable joining, and for moulding and prototyping resins. ResinLab, meanwhile, is stronger in the epoxy field, and gaining Robnor’s expertise will enhance its polyurethane offering, said Ellesworth.
Customers should find the transition seamless, with the overall portfolio, and all the product codes, remaining the same. The only noticeable difference will be a change in logo on the product packaging, Ellesworth added.
