Merrit Island, Florida -- The roofing of the new 45 000-sq.ft Meritt Square Mall suffered from many leaks which affected multiple vendors, a situation only rectified when All Florida Urethane cleaned and prepared the existing roof system, then addressed every seam and break, the company claims.
The company said it applied a rejuvenating coating of liquid silicone treatment that provided a 10-year warranty against leaks.
All Florida Urethane aims to address rooftop vents, curbs and walls to guarantee that all leaks are stopped. As an FPL-approved contractor, the company also worked with the owners of Meritt Square Mall to give them incentives (cash off) to use energy more efficiently. In the end, the mall saved around $15 000. When compared with energy savings from April 2010, the mall showed a cash savings of $10 000 in April 2012.
For residential work, All Florida Urethane provides a secondary water barrier in the form of rigid polyurethane foam insulation, which, in some instances, can lower homeowner's insurance premiums. This polyurethane barrier stops and prevents mould and mildew, which will aid in maintaining a healthier living environment.
"Polyurethane is the only product deemed waterproof by FEMA," All Florida Urethane says. It is lightweight and forms to almost any surface and shape. In 2009 and 2010, the company notes, water barrier users saved as much as 50 percent on energy bills and reported up to $1500 in tax write-offs
All Florida Urethane provides building insulation, commercial roofing, roof insulation and water barrier products for commercial, industrial and residential applications. As well as being an expert in local power company and tax incentives, the company is a certified contractor for GE, Dow Corning, Gaco Western, and says it is state certified and insured.
