Osnabrueck, Germany -- German tubing manufacturer polyvanced has extended the uses of its round belting to mining and household appliances.
"We rely on innovation. In addition to high-tech competency finding new areas of application also plays its part," said polyvanced sales manager Matthias Strehl.
The Osnabrueck-based tubing manufacturer has had round belts made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) in its extensive product range for a couple of years. "Our key markets are the foodstuff and luxury goods industry, the packaging sector, the textile, wood and ceramics industry as well as the chemical industry," said Strehl.
polyvanced round belts are also used in conveyor belts in canteens or self-service restaurants and in lashing straps for lorry tarpaulins.
New areas of application are also on their way. "We also use round belts in mining and household appliances," adds Strehl. They are distinguished in such uses by maximum durability and excellent resistance to oil, grease and a multitude of chemicals, the company claims.
polyvanced round TPU belts are resistant to hydrolysis and microbial attack, and available with foodstuff industry certification. They are used in transport and drive elements, where their high level of flexibility enables various turning directions as well as a lower turning radius.
