By Liz White, UT staffEdmonton, Alberta-Resin Systems Inc. has received an order worth about $26 million for its modular composite utility poles from an established energy producer in the European Union.RSI will supply utility poles of heights from 32-41 m to be installed in an electric power grid of the EU energy producer-in an unspecified country. Delivery will start once satisfactory independent testing of the poles has been completed-scheduled for the end of 2005, said the Canadian firm in a press release. RSI expects the order to be completed by the end of 2007, "We are proud to have been chosen to address the upgrade requirements of an important energy provider's existing electrical power grid," said Greg Pendura, chairman, president and ceo of Resin Systems Inc, in the firm's statement. "Our RStandard utility poles will improve the capabilities of the existing infrastructure and will support the increased capacity being developed in that region."
