Paris-La Defense – Distributor Safic-Alcan has expanded its partnership with Ketjen, via SA’s Brazilian subsidiary Proquimil. It will now supply Ethacure PU, polyurea and epoxy curing agents in Brazil, Chile and Colombia.
Safic-Alcan already supplies these products in Europe and South Africa. Kamil Antoš, the company’s business development director for PU and construction, said the deal marks a “significant milestone” in its new PU activities in the South American region.
“We are pleased to expand this partnership with Safic-Alcan,” said Rodrigo Pinto, Ketjen’s VP for performance catalysts. “Safic-Alcan’s technical expertise and great customer experience are a complement to Ketjen’s quality products and solutions. This partnership will enable us to provide the Latin America market with high-quality curatives that are easy to blend and handle, providing flexibility for a range of curative applications.”
Ketjen is based in Houston, Texas. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Albemarle.
