Paris-La Defènse – Saint-Gobain’s acquisition of Fosroc has completed. The deal was announced in late June 2024, and it will become part of the French company’s high performance solutions business segment.
Fosroc is a specialist in construction chemicals, with a particularly strong footprint in India, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Its revenues last year are expected to be about $487m, and it has been growing at an average rate of 11% since 2021.
It has about 3000 employees across 20 manufacturing plants. Products include adhesives and sealants, waterproofing and concrete repair products, flooring, and admixtures and additives for concrete and cement.
Saint-Gobain said that the acquisition represents another important step in establishing its worldwide presence in construction chemicals, strengthening its presence in high-growth emerging markets in India and the Middle East. Along with the other recent acquisitions of Chryso, GCP and Ovniver, after the acquisition this part of the business will have combined sales of €6.5bn in 76 countries, it said.
