Inverigo, Italy – Saip Advanced Polyurethane Equipment has acquired a majority interest in Linden Polyurethane. The deal expands the range of products it can offer, it said, and will strengthen its presence in the North American market. It will also allow Linden to expand its reach in Europe and Asia.
Saip, which is part of the Pozzi Industries Group and has its base to the north of Milan, manufactures structural insulated panel equipment, including both continuous and discontinuous panel lines. Linden is located in Cuyahoga Falls, north of Akron, Ohio. It specialises in PU metering, processing, distribution and storage systems for applications ranging from EV batteries to military warships. It also services and repairs all makes of PU equipment.
A greater presence in North America is advantageous for Saip, as this is where about two-thirds of insulated panels are used, it said. Linden will be able to offer its customers complementary products, including processing moulds, presses, carousels and other material handling systems to create complete turnkey solutions.
The deal enables Saip to create an optimised global operations footprint, with manufacturing capabilities in both Europe and North America. It will also provide access to Linden’s local service and repairs for North American customers.
Linden will continue to be led by CEO Jon Cocco. This, the company said, will provide continuity and stability for customers, suppliers and employees.
“This transaction represents a win-win deal for all involved,” said Saip CEO Walter Pozzi. “The investment will enhance customer service and accelerate the development of both companies, creating new opportunities for growth and innovation.”
