Romano di Inverigo, Italy -- Saip Equipment has sold its first high-speed lamination line for making flex-faced insulation boards to an important customer in China.

The Italian company did not disclose the name of the customer, but noted that a delegation of the customer's employees are due to visit Saip's site in Italy. The delegation will also visit Saip's joint venture centre in Tudela, Spain - cedepa - for a dedicated two-week training session.

The line has been entirely designed and produced by Saip. It is 110 meters long, with a production speed of 40 metres per minute the company said. The line also includes an automatic handling system, which is capable of handling ten panel bundles of 1200x600x60mm, with 16 panels in each bundle, Saip said. The machine can also handle ten panel bundles of 1200x600x20mm, with 50 panels in each bundle.

"Once again Saip proves that our people's continuous commitment to innovation and to satisfying or even anticipating the needs and the requests of our customers are at the basis of our success," commented Luigi Procopio, commercial director at Saip in a 25 May news release.

He added that China is an important growth region for Saip. The company will participate in the PU China 2012 exhibition in Shenzhen, 18-20 Sept., where it plans to release further technical innovation, Saip said.
