Romanò di Inverigo, Italy -- Saip Equipment has recently completed agreements to implement two projects to insulate residential doors with PU low-density rigid foam in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Saip said each project involves a new line unit equipped with a high-pressure foaming machine.

The Mexican project involves installing a Saip SPB 100 high-pressure dosing machine with 2 fully automated mixing heads that will be integrated on the line. Saip said that optimising injection gives this machine improved performance and improved product quality and consistency.

The Dominican project involves installing a Saip SPB 40 high-pressure dosing machine on a line fitted with a motorized carriage dedicated to the mixing head. The carriage means that the head can serve the production unit's 10 presses, said Saip.

The firm added that, both machines are equipped with flow rate, ratios and magnetic coupling controls on the side of the isocyanate pump. This means the machines can operate effectively over a wide range of production conditions, said Saip. These SPB high-pressure machines are designed to be retrofitted so pentane can be used as the blowing agent, said Saip.

No price was disclosed for the orders.
