Popesti, Romania – More details of the machinery installed at the rigid board panel line which Isopan expanded in Popesti recently have emerged.
Saip supplies Isopan with panel line
Italy's Saip supplied the machinery. The company described the line as being versatile because it can produce metal-faced panels insulated with PU, PIR or mineral wool.
Isopan said it bought the line to meet growing demand for these products in South Eastern Europe. It represents an 'increase of about 50% in production capacity', said Luigi Guerrini, Isopan general manager.
Saip said about 1.6m m2 /year of panels, which range in length from 2 to 15m, can be made on the new line.
Guerrini added that the new line will help his firm reduce delivery times. It will also give his firm greater response to market demands.
Saip said it has supplied a Contitech system with a number of tailored elements. These include a double disk cutting system to improve cut quality, and a fixed hanging head system. A haul-off caterpillar that can move vertically to accommodate changes in PU pressure and accurately position side blocks is also part of the plant.
The machine can also make panels with a special overlapping system, Saip added.
This system is designed to lower labour costs when the panels are installed. Additionally, it helps builders make structures with a better finish than conventional systems, Saip claims.
